i agree , there’s nothing wrong with being cis , or white , or hetero.

what’s wrong , is romanticizing and normalizing things like homophobia / transphobia / racism / abuse / rape / pedophilia. what’s wrong is not taking that step to acknowledge that these things are WRONG. that they’re un - healthy. that they need to be stopped. those who have been following me for a while know that i’ve definitely written questionable muses in the past. i’ve written muses who were violent , in abusive relationships , who were racist and classist. however , i’ve always taken steps to let my followers , any anyone who might stumble upon my blog , know that i don’t — and that no one should — personally support these types of relationships.

using the “i’m just being historically accurate” excuse is bullshit. 

the “well THERE ARE PEOPLE LIKE THIS IRL SO” excuse is bullshit too.

homophobia , transphobia , abuse , rape , racism … they’re all REAL THINGS that aren’t just there for your historical accuracy needs. they didn’t just happen in the past , they’re all very real things that are happening right now , and people need to be aware of that.

just because your character is racist , it doesn’t excuse you for being a racist as well. it just makes you a pile of shit.
